ADMISSION PROCESS

In order to download all necessary forms for the Surgical Technology Admission process you must fill out the online admission form with your personal information.

We are pleased to note your interest in the Seward County Community College Surgical Technology (ST) program. Because of the Surgical Technologist's important role in surgery, there is an ever increasing need for well qualified people in this technical field. We feel our ST program has some unique qualities that will prepare you for a rewarding career in the surgical field.

Upon completion of all application material, your application will be submitted to the Allied Health Admissions Committee. The final decision on acceptance will be the responsibility of the Allied Health Admissions Committee. Applications are only accepted December 1 through the first day of fall classes each year or until the program is full.

  4. Surgical Technologist - Technical Standards form
  5. SCCC Scholarship & Grant Application
  6. Select three people to use as references. Please use former employer(s) or, current or former instructor(s). References from family and/or friends will not be considered. Fill out the first page of the reference form and give the reference form and a stamped, addressed envelope to your reference persons. (Use address listed above.)
  7. Take appropriate entrance exam (COMPASS) or submit recent ASSET or ACT scores. Call 620-417-1601 to schedule a COMPASS exam.
  8. Submit an official high school transcript or GED scores.
  9. Submit official college transcript(s), from schools other than SCCC to the SCCC Registrar.
  10. Schedule an interview with the Financial Aid Director regarding financial aid, and submit the Allied Health Division Financial Aid Interview Form. (620-417-1111)
  11. Schedule an interview with a Surgical Technology faculty member. (620-417-1411) Applicants should apply beginning Dec. 1. SCCC accepts a class annually, with classes beginning in August. Selection criteria and procedures for the Surgical Technology program are available to all prospective applicants by contacting the program coordinator at 620-417-1411.
